Transportation Secretary and acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy pushed back against celebrity personality Kim Kardashian\u2019s claim that the 1969 moon landing \u201cdidn\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, @KimKardashian, we\u2019ve been to the Moon before\u2026 6 times!\u201d Duffy wrote on the social platform X<\/a>, tagging Kardashian\u2019s X account. He posted his message alongside a clip from the reality TV show \u201cThe Kardashians\u201d that showed Kardashian discussing the moon landing.<\/p>\n Duffy added that NASA\u2019s Artemis campaign<\/a> would take Americans back<\/a> to the moon under President Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n \u201cWe won the last space race and we will win this one too,\u201d he wrote, adding American flag and space ship emoji.\u00a0<\/p>\n The clip posted by Duffy comes from the Wednesday episode of the Kardashian family\u2019s weekly TV show \u2014 a follow-up to their long-running series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” which ended in 2021. In the clip, Kardashian repeats the conspiracy theory that the moon landing never happened while speaking with actress Sarah Paulson.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it didn\u2019t happen,\u201d Kardashian told Paulson, referencing an apparent interview with astronaut Buzz Aldrin and \u201cthe other one\u201d \u2014 likely referring to astronaut Neil Armstrong \u2014 where the first two men who walked on the moon said there \u201cwas no scary moment\u201d during their trip to outer space. Kardashian pointed to the interview as evidence that their<\/strong> moon landing was fake.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m going to go on a massive deep dive,\u201d Paulson promised her. <\/p>\n Kardashian elaborated on why she believed the moon landing was \u201cfake\u201d later in the episode. <\/p>\n \u201cI’ve seen a few videos on Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen,\u201d she said. \u201cHe says it all the time now in interviews. Maybe we should find Buzz Aldrin.\u201d<\/p>\n Claims that Aldrin called the moon landing fake have been debunked<\/a> in the past.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no gravity on the moon,\u201d she added. \u201cWhy is the flag blowing<\/a>?
