{"id":281,"date":"2025-09-07T19:07:37","date_gmt":"2025-09-07T19:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globaltalentholding.com\/?p=281"},"modified":"2025-09-09T12:19:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T12:19:08","slug":"most-oppose-trump-deploying-national-guard-to-dc-other-cities-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globaltalentholding.com\/index.php\/2025\/09\/07\/most-oppose-trump-deploying-national-guard-to-dc-other-cities-poll\/","title":{"rendered":"Most oppose Trump deploying National Guard to DC, other cities: Poll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most Americans oppose President Trump deploying the National Guard to Washington, D.C., and other cities, according to a new poll.<\/p>\n<p>In the CBS\/YouGov poll, 57 percent of respondents said they are against \u201cDonald Trump\u2019s decision to deploy the National Guard to\u201d the nation\u2019s capital, while 43 percent backed the decision.<\/p>\n<p>The same poll found 58 percent of respondents said they are against \u201cDonald Trump deploying the National Guard to other U.S. cities,\u201d while 42 percent backed such action.<\/p>\n<p>In the last <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/state-watch\/5485943-trump-dc-national-guard-deployment-extension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">few months<\/a>, President Trump deployed National Guard troops in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., angering residents of both cities as well as Democratic politicians.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/state-watch\/5489619-trump-sending-national-guard-new-orleans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced he would<\/a> soon be sending the National Guard to New Orleans after previously hinting he would be aiming for the city in his next federal crime crackdown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to come into New Orleans, and we\u2019re going to make that place so safe,\u201d Trump said Friday. \u201cIt\u2019s got a little problem right now, a couple of headaches, like murders, a lot of little murders going on, and we\u2019re not going to stand for it. And we\u2019re going to come in, we\u2019re going to clean it up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s deployment of Washington National Guard troops <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/state-watch\/5485943-trump-dc-national-guard-deployment-extension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to patrol the District<\/a> has also been lengthened to late 2025 to make sure service members receive the full scope of benefits for the mission, multiple news outlets have reported.<\/p>\n<p>The CBS\/YouGov poll took place from Sep. 3 to 5, with 2,385 participants and a margin of error of about 2.5 percentage points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most Americans oppose President Trump deploying the National Guard to Washington, D.C., and other cities, according to a new poll.
